An actor in training

Martin Edwards is currently studying the three-year acting diploma course at the Oxford School of Drama – one of the top accredited drama schools in the UK.

He decided to seek a career as a professional actor in his mid thirties. His previous career as a journalist in London has enabled him to appreciate the demands made on him at his time at Oxford and on into the profession.

Martin’s blog will give anyone interested in drama school a very honest insight into actor training. He will be sharing his experience of life at drama school on a weekly basis and the blog will serve as a hugely insightful and revealing diary for an actor in training.

Drama school can be an extremely tough environment and the demands made on students are designed to offer them a true reflection of the profession.

Drama schools are often perceived to be very secretive establishments but we are extremely privileged to have been given full approval by the Oxford School of Drama to offer this blog to you.

If you log in you’ll be able to read all of the entries as well as asking direct questions to Martin and Gemma Lloyd who oversees the blog.
