Workshops aimed at professional actors only.
- Tuesday 24th June (6.30pm-9.30pm) - Keep your Voice with actor/director Adrian Fear.
Adrian has a big voice and the workshop is aimed at actors that have perhaps only recently joined the profession who want a refresher on how to warm up and keep that voice consistent. The voice is an instrument and you need to keep practicing it.
The cost is £27.00. The group size is limited to 10 people.
- Tuesday 1st July & Tuesday 8th July (6.30pm-9.30pm) - Mask Yourself with actress Jane Guernier.
Jane is well known for her work with Masks one of the early pioneers with the Trestle Theatre company, the Physical Movement front with John Wright at Middlesex. Mask work is a perfect tool to free yourself as an actor, explore and challenge and indulge. This is a double workshop and you will have to be available for both sessions. Jane's CV will be on act up's website shortly.
The cost is £54.00. The group size is limited to 10 people.
- Tuesday 15th, Tuesday 22nd & Tuesday 29th July (6.30pm-6.30pm) - Be Right for Screen with actress/casting director Polly Kemp.
Polly is part of the new breed of actor/casting director and will be running a phenomenal triple workshop on the casting process from beginning to end. How to prepare, how to be seen, how to act, how to perform in front of the camera and how to get that job....... Polly largely casts for the Commercial sector, regularly working with casting directors Nina Gold, Sasha Robertson, Belinda Norcliffe and Sarah Crowe. She has been casting for the last 10 years and now feels it's the perfect time to impart her valuable knowledge. This is a triple workshop and you will have to be available for all 3 sessions.
The cost is £85.50. The group size is limited to 8 people.
All workshops will take place at The Royal Academy of Dance. 36 Battersea Square, London. SW11 3RA.
